New SCR 500 notes in circulation

As of December 2025, the Central Bank of Seychelles introduced new SCR 500 banknotes, which will circulate alongside the existing SCR 500 notes. The new notes feature distinct security and design elements that differentiate them from the existing series. Both versions of the SCR 500 banknotes are accepted for all transactions.

Seychelles Commercial Bank (SCB) wishes to inform its valued customers that the new SCR 500 banknotes are currently not accepted at SCB cash deposit ATM. Customers wishing to deposit the new SCR 500 notes may do so at any SCB branch.
